The Watchman Oil Tank Alarm is an electronic wireless device which remotely monitors the level of oil in the tank. Consisting of a transmitter and receiver unit, the oil tank alarm replaces the need for a dipstick or sight level gauge by remotely monitoring the level of oil in the tank. The Watchman oil monitor sends information via a red transmitter fitted to the top of the oil tank. This information transmits to a receiver unit which is plugged into a socket in the home or office. The oil tank alarm continually monitors the oil level and when it is below 10 per cent, the fuel dispensing pump symbol appears on the oil monitor as a reminder to order more oil. In the event of a sudden drop in the level of fuel stored inside the tank, an alarm is activated on the Watchman device, alerting the oil tank owner and allowing necessary action to be taken.
